List a Hong Kong event on SoFunNear for free
For schools, malls, studios, and organisers: how to publish a listing from a poster or URL, what to check before it goes live, and when paid Rank Up is optional.
Listing is free. Attention at the top of a series is not.
Schools, shopping malls, hobby classes, tutorial centres, art studios, music schools, and other organisers can publish on SoFunNear at no listing fee. Anyone can also suggest an event they saw on a lamppost. Rank Up is a separate, optional payment that pins an event in a chosen series at the smallest area (for example Eastern) for a date range, from HK$300 for six days. If you skip Rank Up, the event still appears in search and filters.
We are not a ticket seller. A SoFunNear page does not collect enrolment for you. Put the real registration or WhatsApp link in the listing so families leave our page to complete the action on your side.
The fastest path is a poster, a URL, or a few honest lines
On create / suggest, you can paste a webpage, upload a poster photo, or type the facts. Extraction fills title, time, place, and description for you to review. It will misread a date if the poster has three sessions in small print — that is why the review step exists. Correct the neighbourhood if the model guessed Kowloon when the address is Hang Hau.
Write like a person who will stand at the gate: session times in Hong Kong time, age range, fee or “enquire”, what to bring, and whether it is first-come. If registration is required, the first link should be that form, not your homepage.
Neighbourhood is the field families sort by
A Chai Wan kindergarten tagged as “All Hong Kong” only is harder to find for someone filtering Eastern. Put the event in the smallest area that is true. Mall events should use the mall’s district, not “Kowloon” as a vague cloud. If you have five campuses, make five listings or five schedules — a single page that says “various locations” forces every parent to open Maps and guess.
Coordinates should match the entrance families will use. Podium kindergartens are often a different lift core from the mall directory pin. If Street View shows the wrong tower, fix the pin before you publish.
Photos and text that do not waste a trip
A sharp photo of the actual entrance or classroom helps more than a stock balloon graphic. If the poster is the only art you have, that is acceptable — most estate events work that way — but crop so the date is readable on a phone. In the description, repeat the date in numerals (12 Sep 2026) even if the poster says “本星期六”.
Do not paste another site’s full article and call it a listing. Short, accurate, and specific to this session beats a 2,000-word school history. Families compare five events on a sofa; they will not read your mission statement five times.
After it is live
Share the SoFunNear link in your parent WhatsApp and on the poster QR if you want. If the date changes, edit the schedule; do not hope people will notice a comment. If someone else listed your event first, request management from that page instead of duplicating it — duplicates split reviews and confuse search.
For partnership beyond a single Rank Up pin (for example a mall-wide season), use the contact page or the partnership form linked in the footer. For a receipted pin in one series, Rank Up is self-serve and does not require an account.
